Default RE: Missing something??

Hi Mathom,

Mark, you are trying to make orange juice with oranges, apples and grapes. The two channel 27 Mhz receiver (AM or FM) will run the T-01 only and nothng else. It will not to anything with the MF unit. The MF requires a communication cable from the T unit and yours is not capable of performing this feature. Did you get Sherman from Daveforwhat? If it is a two older two channel Sherman kit it will need to do several modifications. To add on the traverse and elevation since that tank kit was made before these options were available from Tamiya and it is not a "full option". The mounts will not even be there and you are probably missing the ring for the turret traverse. The FO Sherman if a four channel tank where the radio receiver has at least four channels and takes its power from the four channel DMD unit. All other uses will require a separate battery source. DO NOT use any battery in the receivers B port when using a four channel/wire Tamiya DMD unit or you will overpower it and ruin the device. The transmitter must match the receiver or else one is speaking German and the other is speaking Greek. My earlier post shows how the DMD & MF are paired up. Some mix and matching can be done but none involve the T-01. The only T unit that is self sustatining it the Leo T-07 and it is very expensive. I'll include a photo of how the Tamiya system looks installed, It appears that you will need a 4 ch receiver with matchign transmitter and crystals, another T unit, comminication cable, elevation and traverse unit, speaker box, strobe unit for the barrel (optional), LED for machine gun (optional). Do you have a Tamiya manual to guide you?
I hope this helps....Bob
