CH Electronics Syncro Spark Temperature Tolerance
This week my f.p.e. 3.2 with CH syncro spark quit for the first time. I went vertical after take off ( do this all the time ) got 80 to 100 ft before it suddenly quit with no warning. Just last weekend i read the posts about some problems your having but my unit falls out of your target dates. It is dated 04/02. Could the problem go back that far or do i look elsewhere for the cause? I purchased the engine last fall, built over the winter and have been flying it this season with about 7 gal. through it so far. By the way, the plane (waggstaff 300 ) did a nice tail slide, fell past the vertical down line buy about 20 deg. to the inverted side and i couldn't get enough speed to pull out into a glide or flare. Came in very hard on the gear and snapped the whole nose off. Didn't even crack the cowl though. Wish i'd just pulled out inverted and rolled over. O well.
