I also agree with Paul in that I think the layout should work well on promotional material.

I think it'll refine it a touch if the star and text colors are "eye dropped" to the colours of the aircraft. I find that "computer color" often looks synthetic - sort of too primary. If the color is picked from a real painted model of which a photo was taken (like your DB), the color will be richer, less primary and more natural. As a professional colorist, I can't help but notice these details.

We should be able to find a picture of a DB (or similar) with pipe and yellow! The tricky part will be getting the correct angle without distorting the 3D aspect ratio.
