All rings rotate on the piston if they are not pinned . try to catch
the end gap where u can see it.it should be .010/.020 max if more the ring needs replaced ( wear increases the end gap first)
(2) leakage of this sort is a cc per second type of thing & leak per piston stroke @ 10 or 12k is a minoramount per stroke.
