I am flying the JR 9X2 (same as the 9303) on 36 mhz & bought the Futaba 10 channel when I went 2.4 as I think the channel hopping idea is better. Most 2.4 radios use channel hopping including JR with their DSM-J system.
The Futaba has worked perfectly so far but so does the JR. I've only used it in an old beater & an EDF (Habu) so far.
The Futaba feels a much cheaper radio than the JR. There was a thread in the giant scale forum about a guy with problems with an Aurora 9:
