I would offer that while the Quadra is a great motor, and Bennet an exellent source, that there have been a lot of advances made since 88. In just the last couple of years there's been so much going on with so many new engines coming out it's hard to stay up with them all. Let me say just this. If you have the time to do some research, I think you'll find there are much lighter and more powerfull offerings for less money, that will hold up just as well. FWIW
