Watching this thread for a while... I received my Angel late last year. I installed a Turnigy 55-60 400Kv motor and a CC85HV esc but I had issues!!!

I battled with motor timing. Regular knocks and bangs with the odd screech from the motor (even without a prop). I changed timings but I never got it to go properly.
I'm only a sportsman-level pilot but you still need a reliable plane. Having the motor go bang/screech needing a full throttle down during an outsideside loop isn't a good look!!! I flew 4 practice flights after the build before my first comp... which I won. The Angel 50 makes you look good

I have sorted the motor finally. I replaced it this week with a Turnigy SK 42-60 500Kv with 14x7 prop. 66A peak, thats 1375W Ample power for the odd KE loop. I carried two "keychain" cameras during the test flight so I'll post the aerial footage once edited.

Love the plane... and this thread has been great too!!!
