I always covered my foam planes in .7 oz fiberglass and then painted them with dope or Krylon. But for bare foam, some kind of acrylic paint should work. I think Krylon makes an acrylic spray paint. Also, I have been hearing good things with water based house paints, I think that they may even be fuel proof.
