it seems to be normal for the heli straight out of the box. I thought I had a defective one, but I have three of two CB180Ds and 3 cb100s. I love them and always push them to the edge. If she's in the air flying, and you're not fighting her to do what you want, she's working well.

You can, though, with a little searching of the internet, find some videos of people who have done some slight modifications to the stock helis to get them to hover hands free.
