there is no need for the check valve....no reason why you can't have one either...

I just can't see any advantage to one.....you will loose any pressure in the tank when you refuel.....you should only have to prime on the first start of the day after that there should be enough fuel in the engine to start and run......

In my line of work the arrow will be with the flow usually
