weather and life always seem to get in the way, and here we only have 3-4 good months of dry weather so.
Figure 20 weekends a year, 3-6 flights a weekend 4.5x20= 90...
I am in OR too, in Salem, and I used to quit flying for the Winter too, but I don't anymore. Maybe global warming is here too, because I have flown every month of the year the last couple years. If the temp is above 40F and not raining and not blowing, it is good enough to go fly for us. Fortunately for us in Salem, we seem to have calm air compared to what I read here about many other places. It happens very frequently that we have light winds that are under 5 mph during every month. I would guess I fly more like 40 weekends a year, similar number of flight per weekend, but I also can fly weekdays since I am retired. My guess is more like (4.5x40)+(30x3)=270. That is a good ballpark figure for me.
