It was an article in August 2003 of RC Car Action.

I read the article and it looks like a good little truck, QD means quick drive. Kind of between the toys & the hobby cars. Has some hobby features & some toy features. Personally, I would buy a RTR traxxas stampede or something of that nature. You would get a much better unit for a few more intial dollars & something that your kid can grow into. I think that I am going to get my 3 year old son an electric rustler. I will just set back the ESC so it runs slower. They are like $149 with a radio & everything.
