Another thing to consider, nylon dries out and becomes very brittle in dry climates such as Denver and other desert areas. A nylon arm that may be very good when new can become very brittle as time passes.
I recently mounted the wing on a T-28 I hadn't flown in approx 1 1/2 yrs. I tightened the nylon wing screw the normal amount, walked a few feet away and heard a "ping" and found the head of the 1/4-20 screw had popped off.
Nylon props, wing screws, servo arms and nylon servo gears can all dry out. We used to boil our nylon props if they laste over a year to restore the moisture. I haven't tried it with servo arms. I did a test boil on some wing screws the other day and they got so flexible that I couldn't install them in a tight mounting hole.
