RE: Classic Pattern Event in Chicago...2010?
Chicago Classic Pattern Championships...exiting the box!
Wow, thirty years in the making the Chicago Classic Pattern Championships is in the books! Nineteen (19) pilots came as far away as California to participate. SPA Novice, BPA Advanced and BPA Masters with tough tight battles in each class.
The scores are posted...look how close the scores are round by round.
Concours d'Elegance Champion- Rusty Dose/Dave Guerin Blue Angel
Concours d'Elegance Runner-Up- Mike Wingo Aurora
More photos of the airplanes and people.
Items of interest...the Hangar 9 Phoenix 7 won both Masters and Advanced with Mike's orginal factory prototype model with the truly best classic pattern motor for the money Evolution .61 short stroke...my Calypso is really beginning to groove with the very impressive Super Tigre S.61 turning an APC 10 x 9, Mac's standard header and muffled pipe with about a gallon and a half of fuel I was able to get through the entire (6) minute flight!
More items of interest to follow and there were dozens of cameras and I assume there will be more posts and feed-back from participants.
Thank you to my Co-CD Dave Guerin, the Fox Valley Aero Club volunteers, the Chicago Pattern gang for stopping for help judging and all of the pilots and families who attended!!!
