if i were you i'd switch to bullets. I have a 2300 kv motor in mine and like to run it on 3s some times, i have 2 3s cells so i put both of them in there for balance but only use one of them, with that set up it is pretty close to stock speed, but when i really want to move i will use 2 x2s cells, all you have to do is put one negative bullet to a positive of the opposite battery and then the remaining positive and negative leads go to the esc, so now i can run my packs in series or just by them selves, no special harness required.
running 3s on the stock system would be much slower and to prop up to gain speed pulls more amps
