Bob,

Your choice of oil for your break-in is a personal matter. If you are going to use Lawn Boy at 32:1 anyway for your break-in . . . . Well, go for it.

The police are not going to bust down your door and take your engine away from you.

Who knows what the guy used in the other engine before you bought it? It is a good engine isn't it?
The thing is I have heard more about Lawn Boy Ashless for break in than anything. I will ask around some more.

As for my used Zenoah? Runs great now, had to rebuild the carb, the diaphram was dried up from sitting for a little over two years. After getting it running, it started dieing and acting like it was not getting fuel. So I went back in and found the screen in the carb was loaded with gunk. It was replaced when it was rebuilt. Upon closer examination it turned out the little fuel that was still in the tank when I had the eye injury had done some drying out and turned into some kind of buildup on the clunk. Once I fueled it and started to run it the deposit was rubbed off sucked into the fuel line, and caught by the screen. So I cleaned out the tank and replaced the fuel line and added a clunk with a screen, and put a filter on my fuel can.
