Having a DVP that listens to the district is not 'unreasonable', I'm not sure why you would figure it is.
I believe I said he should, indeed, CONSIDER the wishes of those who elected him.
What is unreasonable is to expect him to act solely on that information. Any DVP who does is shortchanging his district of his most valuable asset...his judgment.
If your elected DVPs dont listen to or represent you, maybe you should elect ones that do.
Perhaps YOU should learn that a DVP's job is NOT to "represent" you, but rather to PRESIDE over your district, and to serve it as an EXECUTIVE...and then elect one who uses his wisdom, judgement, experience, and knowledge to do that in the best manner possible, which INCLUDES, but is not LIMITED to, understanding the wishes of his district, and giving them due consideration.
