It feels like it is coming together (slowly). I'm thinking of calling it a Black Magic VFME because of all the thought I've put into it [8D]

I'm mulling over how to do the stab/wing tube. I started with the stabs because I felt it might be easier. My plan is to drill a hole with a brass tube. I've already done a test hole on a piece of scrape and the size is perfect. My only problem now is how to jig the tube so that the hole is down the center of the stab and at 90deg to the root.

My current plan is to drill a hole through a 2" block of pine with a drill press and carefully position it on the stab root. The 2" long hole should maintain directional stability of the brass tube. Aligning the block square to the stab root is however still a concern.

Any ideas from the bofs?
