300-600 for just the buggy? If you have the budget build a kit. You can get a RC8B or a 8ight 2.0 for
under 500 add a N21Bf and a pipe for under 200 then a couple of decent servos for 160.

In the long run you will be much happier and spend less money than trying to upgrade a RTR
car.
+1 on everything but the buggies lol look at the HB D8 buggy, they are 275 on amain and is the most amazing buggy i have driven. i was driving the RC8B, Losi 2.0 and Mugen MBX6 alot because i was going to go with one of those but decided to buy a D8 instead to try and if i didnt like it, it wasnt like i spent alot of money. but i can tell you that was the best thing i have ever done. since i made the switch my worst finish was a 3rd, these things drive themselves almost. they are WAY more durable than everyone thinks they are. the earlier ones werent durable at all but they have changed them. mine are box stock with the exception of the aluminum servo horn on the steering which is the only must upgrade.

Wow, with as much HB love as you consistantly give out, I really think you should try a Caster so we can get your opinion on it since the story is the exact same.
