Default RE: KingTech K-80

Gents.

Been running my K80E in a JL CT-114 'Snowbird' Tudor. The engine starts and runs well. I did have to change, supplied by KingTech, to a Flightworks fuel pump. The Kingtech one caused the ECU to hunt about +/- 3K to 4K around a throttle position. With the new pump, that is gone. I have used Flightworks pumps with my WREN and JJ1400. Always works well.

The Snowbird is a missle with this engine. At 21.5 lbs, the K80E is almost over-powering. The residual thrust at idle is almost enougn to fly on. The flight is never about 2/3 throttle. Mainly at half. This is a engine with a lot of potential. Now, I must run it and see how the life span is.....
