Many define "3d power" as the ability to rocket out of a hover. I do not view "3d power" that way. For me it's the ability to provide enough power to climb out of a hover while accellerating on the vertical upline without additional maneuvering, and with the ability to maintain high alpha flight for extended periods of time. Never having doubt in the ability of the aircraft to maintain stable flight at extremely slow flight speed.
