hi, it's best to use a separate charger for your batteries. don't put your sub at risk. As for the rubber, it's not advisable to get one for spare cause it will vulcanise over time. No point in keeping one. The sub has been out of production already. I know it for a fact cause i know someone who bought the last remaining stocks and they have it on sale btw. Not that i'm doing a sales pitch
