Default RE: Handoff Hover For RC Helos??

Despite what they do or don't have or what nowadays isquestionably acceptable to some folks, Iwould think anyone in their right mind, mental attitude and respect for the danger of this hobby wouldn't ever want to go down the road of a completely hands-off hover to take pictures no matter what the weather conditions are.

What Iwould suggest you could dois to take along a fellow experienced RC heli-pilot whom you are comfortable with in sharing control of your heli. And when you want to relinguish control of the heli to take control of the camera to take pictures just usethebest-practice procedure we do as FAAcertified pilots use and that is:

1.The pilot relinquishing aircraft control will call “You have control,”
2. To which the pilot assumingcontrol duties will reply “I have control.”
3.
To which the pilot who relinguished the aircraft controlsignals the end of the transfer process by calling "You have control".

Steps #1 and #2 are peformed both audibly ANDvisually aspilot #1 takes hands and feet off the controls while the other pilot #2 simultaneously places hands and feet on the controls. Step #3 is to mitigate any ambiguity as to who actually has control of the craft.

Then you can go safely into the picture taking with the camera. This to me is the absolute only safe way to conduct such actions.
