Default Jr Vs Multiplex servos

I do have some Mpx Royal BBs, not the digital ones though. I have recently learned that the British military drones use Multiplex Profi servos despite them being twice the price of JR/Futaba servo. Presumably they think there is some benefit for the extra cost.

Mpx digitals do not have the same speed or torque of JR/Futaba/Hitec digitals. Mpx’s reasoning is that anyone can get spectacular figures, but how long is it going to last? Like a racing car engine, you can get superb power, but chances are it won’t even last for one race. Can our tiny gearboxes with such thin spindles held in place by a plastic bump with a hole in it really withstand long term use if required to actually generate those torques? You may agree or disagree with Mpx’s thinking, but they are able to stand on an outstanding reputation for reliable servos.
