Yeah, it's a little work converting a weedwacker into a usable engine for a model, but it's fun.
Most weedeaters only have a single low end needle valve carb, setting. If this is the case, you'll need to buy a new carb with both high and low end needle valve settings to get the most rpm's.
Harbor freight frequently has Weedwackers on sale, usually reconditioned, but cheap Last one I bought for conversion was around $50. Probably spent around another $100. buying the needed carb, prop shaft adaptar, and aluminum motor mount. Mine spins a 18 X 10 Dynathrust prop at 7,000 rpm.
