I have just the part you need..I get them for 20 cents each locally..it's a motorola part.. I'll post a picture and spec sheet if you need it. It's a five lead part with 2 bolt holes for mounting. Somewhere I posted it on here. Infrared emitter and reciever in one plastic block.
I know this kind of opto's, but can you use them also withdirt of the petrol ?
