Default RE: Evojet turbine problem

ORIGINAL: SinCityJets

It is my understanding that the old turbine case was too damaged due to the fire from the leaking fuel lines being put out using a nylon jacket. This jacket melted and ruined the outer case. I think Eray is mad he did not get a NEW turbine in replacement.

Either way, this is a great reminder to have the proper equipment handy to put out fires when dealing with turbines.

Eray, I am sorry to hear your turbine lost a bearing and hopefully the engine you received will run better for you.

Say what you will, and I will first thank you for at least trying to assit eraysa when it's not your dist. area. However, your statement above is why IMHO people should shy away from EVO Jet. It's not the turbine, but the support. Clearly, EVO sent out a turbine that had a mfg. defect or they would have not agreed to repair/replace it. Second, regardless of what equipment was used to put out the fire... the fire was started by a faulty turbine with very little time on it. IF as advertised EVO is such a stand up company (and I am not debating that as I have my own views of that) they should have restored this turbine back to how he recieved it in the box.
You should not blame him for not having the proper equipment on hand. Because he did not, he lost his jet due to EVO's faulty turbine. In no way does this speak of EVO quality as all mfg. have sent turbines out that have quit in short order.

EVO should do the right thing here. The customer should be made happy in this case.
