But I do know how to do statistical analysis !
According to one Dr. Jerry Pournelle (MS in Experimental Statistics) - "Statistical science is 80% accurate at predicting what happened yesterday."

Seriously, from one AMA member to another I apologize for the behavior of some (including myself if I'm a contributor) giving such a negative image of AMA members. Sometimes folks can get just a bit testy in defending an institution they believe in. Not always a good thing as it can lead someone to believe that the institution in question is full of rude, confrontational and arrogant folks when the case is just the opposite. I'm not saying those types don't belong to the AMA because they do - just as they belong to every other group or organization I can think of. Unfortunately they also tend to be the most vocal at times, especially when a question like "Why join the AMA" comes up.

The AMA is an organization that supports all aspects of the aeromodeling hobby. You see more about competitions simply because of the need for the rules and guidelines for such to be readily available to all. I wish the AMAdidn't have to focus so heavily on that aspect, as it does tend to mask the other areas.
