RE: Why join the AMA??? PROS/CONS
being i worked under the fcc in the commercial field as a contractor with motorola and sony ericson on emergency systems and cell towers , someone said hieght restrictions around airports , yeh that is big time for the towers i've seen what a 737 does to a tower up close when someone screws up , the plane had a scratch the tower was done and the faa had this one company by the u'ho's needless to say that company was like the tower ,....done.
i know you know why ,and i'm not nit picking so please don't take it that way .
could you just imagine what would happen if a rc plane or heli hit a small plane in the right place , i couldn't live with myself if i was the one who did that . those rules are good rules for so many reasons .
the fcc what can i say, the transmitters are not powerful enough to do any damage , and if you look at any electronic device it says the same thing on all of them, "this device must not cause interference but may recieve interference . your transmitter shouldn't cause any interference .
your reciever well there is in where the problem starts . and if someone starts to mess with your reciever like any cb radio , yup anything other then 2.4 and your flirting with danger .any 18 wheeler just passing by and boom it's all over .
