I notice among this crowd I am pretty much a newbie, Guys like Gene are the type that get new young members and not only teach them how to fly, but also how to build an airplane right and tune an engine, the whole package, we need many more guys like him to encourage and help those who need it. We ALL need help sometimes, to me, this is what this hobby should be all about, helping each other and encouraging those who need it. Gene you are awesome.
Cliff, I didn't do anything that really went too far out of my way, just a dust and clean then a few test runs. What Campgems, Don, did for me was way out there. We do help each other out here a lot though and I have met some really great people over the years and am thankful for it. Don went so far as to build a complete pump for me then repaired the stock pump. He even opened up my engine and installed new bearings because of the junk I got from BOCA. He did the test run for me too. I only did a test run because I already stunk like glow fuel and had that castor slime already. Today I got the plane put back together with that engine and tomorrow I will be out flying it.
Two pumps and bearings, now that goes way beyond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
