Default RE: Sig Kadet LT .25

I have used the search function to death and really haven't found much info on this plane over the last couple of years and it seems to be a hard kit to find. But I finally have one on the way. I have an O.S. FS-30S that I plan to put on it, but I'm a little worried about it being underpowered. I have done the trainer route and have since moved on to 4*s etc and honestly, I prefere a high winged plane and a lower pulse rate.

Any suggestions on building this kit lighter or making sure the engine has enough power to not run off the end of the runway would be appreciated.

10x6 with 15% is what I'm thinking.

For several years our club used the LT 25 as a kit to teach kids how to build and fly. The kit was chosen for several reasons. It is easy to build, even a kid could build it, it requires no modifications to be an outstanding plane, it is economical to build and fly , it can be built using standard radio gear and will still be light enough to fly with any engine in the recommended range ( that's a 20 - .26 in³ (3.3 - 4.3 cm³ ) 4-stroke or 25 - .32 in³ (4.1 - 5.2 cm³ ) 2-Stroke ) And last but not least by any means is that if built as designed not only is the plane light but it is very rugged, a fun little plane all around.
