I can attest to the fact that a number of torque devices period arent close to their adjusted values. I'm QA in a lab that certifies all makes and models of torque devices. A few of the bigger named tool manufacturers have some that stay within their required tolerances on a regular basis. Most of them require recertification every 3 - 6 months. The majority of them are made to within 4-6% of the adjusted torque value. Of course this is all for military stndrds. Like it was mentioned in a previous post, how accurate do we need them to be?
