I have both click type and bar type torque wrenches. I consider the bar type more cionsistent as it is not subject to any forces other than bending in measuring the torque. It may not be accurate though, as I have no way of testing that. I use the bar wrench to "calibrate" the clicker type wrench every so often, and especially if I am tightening a critical assembly. Just my redundent way of thinking.
