There is a picture on page 15 of the August Model Aviation in the ''Worth a Closer Look'' section. Bottom left corner. Looks good. Not a 2-meter plane, span is 62 inches.

It looks pretty cool.

Regarding the Defiant, going the kit route opens up a lot of options, but you are in for a lot of work!!! I haven't seen one of these fly but I think they are/were popular in the midwest.

Seriously, if you are at all interested in making a go of it then get the best thing you can fit into your budget. You already have the motor, ESC, charger and probably packs so you are half way there. Try posting a message on the NSRCA mail list stating what you are looking for. Or, let one of us know and we can post a request for you. If you aren't opposed to doing some work, I think there are a couple banged up machines floating around that people might want to unload....
