Well, it is with much embarrassment that I post what I found out. I brought the DX7 and charger with me to work. After looking at the charger harness. Which is the Jr harness that allows you to connect to practically any kind of battery, I discovered that I had left a 150 MaH liPo plugged into the harness (from flying last Sunday). I recharged the tx battery, plugged the back of the DX7 off and checked the system fuse, it was blown. Replaced the fuse and it is working fine. Thank God for fuses. So the Lipo is what caused the black marks, its was completely toasted as well as the carpet in the basement!. The fuse in the DX7 is a 3 amp 250 volt fuse. All I had at work is a 2 amp 250. Will stop on the way home a get the correct one. Now I just have to figure out a way to repair the carpet in the basement shop before the misses sees it!! She will blow a fuse!!

.Anyway, lot to be said for never charging batteries unattended. I will most certainly double check the harness from now on (d@#n tiny batteries). Anyway, Tx is working fine now, and another lesson learned.
