I normally use my band saw when hacking off "everything that doesn't look like a model airplane engine" on my conversions. You often have to make multiple cuts doing that, and sometimes you get crossed up and tweak or break the bandaw blade. It worked great. I am assuming a lot of you already have compressors in order to run the tool.... The blades are only "fair" quality, so don't force them, and it would be a good idea to buy a pack of extra blades if you buy the tool. But it really does work good for converting engines, and I am sure you will find other hobby uses for it as well.
