Just to be clear, there's binding and linking.

Binding is the process of having the receiver memorize the GUID of the transmitter.

Linking is when you turn the system on and it establishes and RF connection.


Keep the transmitter atleast a foot or two away from the plane while its linking and as someone else said, metal in the area can cause reflections which will give you problems with the linking process. Last, some of those radios its easy to inadvertently have the binding button depressed while its hanging or sitting on something, make sure thats not happening.
