Default RE: Pro Boats at it again

Pete,
In one word "Yep"
LOL...look at PT109 thread below...

They look good...the finish is awesome....the radio looks "Ok" I mean they use the cheapie servos...and typically 27mhz radio units...but seem to be ok....from what I have seen the Electronic Speed Controls seem to be ok....a can motor is a can motor....(lol)...hard to mess up....but.

the assembly is horrible.....(they must be trying to assemble them to fast)....ours had the rudder servo mount not glued...and the wires going into the electronic speed control were broken inside the potting (the plastic encasement)...and it took on water...

The hobby shop did a good job of making the guy who bought the boat (upon my reccomendation) one good boat out of two that they had in stock....and once it was rebuilt it works ok.

I would check the connectors and wires on the "dead" servo...seems like they are really abusing the equipment when they are shoving everything in the hull...

Now I am building them a "push tug" (Polo)....that should be more reliable to go get the other boat...(lol)...

Oh, and I am building 3 for the family ...(what else do ya do with a box full of old but good car motors)....!
