I've seen posts saying you "MUST" be able to fly a full cirvcuit of the pattern inverted before you're ready.
Or, "every" landing has to be perfect...........
My opinion is less drastic. If you think you're ready, you probably are. If you pick a second plane from RCKen's list
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4537845/tm.htm (or something similar) and possibly have an instructor availble to help with the first few flights, you'll know very soon if you're ready or if you need more time with your trainer.
