Default RE: Colourguide

Part 2

now, we come to the first effects.

Shadows and brightening...

For shadow i used XF 51 Khaki drab, it fit to all desertyellow colours as shadow.

First i brush all Corners and Cants, also Bolts and Slots. For the first it looks way to strong, but we will fix this soon. When this is try i go back to the Basiscolor and Brush over the Shadows how looks to much. No, we see, Basiccolor ( XF 57Buff ), XF 51 Khaki drab, and something else between this both colors. Important is that you brush it cloudly

Here you can see the differents.

At next i use Filterset from MIG (P403 AfrikaCorps Filters Set )

The Filters are working great and the colours looking more homogeneously. For the Top i used ochre, for the suspension ( you can see this at the moment ) i will use the brown one. Another special Effect

I put the Filter on the Modell with an large soft brush, first the roof of the turret, than the side of the turret. Don´t brush the hole tank in one, cause you need time to work with the Filter.

on the Top i used an Kitchen Papier and dab it into the wet Filter...

...after this i´m going to the side...

... and i´m going up and down with the brush ( little harder brush ). Very important is, that you don´t have some drop formation

Here you can see our first effects

it´s still wet, when its try looks much better.

Same steps you can do with the suspension and the brown filter
