Bubbles in the line means there is an air leak someplace. If your engine is flooding and locking up your fuel tank may be too high. The center line of the fuel tank should be about even with the spray bar in the carb. If your engine is inverted then the center line of the tank should be a taste below the spray bar. That's pretty general but it will give you something else to look at.
