Default O band vs. 2" band pipe

Spent about 45min. on the phone with tony from whh explaining I and a friend have blackjack 55's with m-5 kits and have the stock o band pipe that is non adjustable and is 13" o/c and said everyone is running a 2" band pipe on them. He said the o band pipe is the way to go he has tested them on a dyno and they way out perform the 2" band pipe, he said you can expect 1000-1500 more rpm with the zero band pipe and more rpm will get you more speed. I went through alot of posts on here and have not found anyone that took off the stock zero band pipe and tried a after market one on a blackjack. I know a 2" band pipe is more of a transition pipe were the o band is more of a torque rpm pipe. I tried explaining to tony then why is everyone using the 2" band pipe and getting good perfomance from them on these boats. I want to get a pipe but getting mixed signals about which one to get. I have gotten 1600-16500 rpm with the stock pipe and 49.8 mph so far with the stock pipe. Tony said his zero band pipe needs to be around 14" but no more then 14 1/4" o/c. The 1000-1500 rpm that he says you will get with his pipe seems like an awful big gain just by going to the same band pipe. Anyone have any take on this subject?
