how does this plane fly with 18 pounds of thrust? I have been flying mine for 2 years with a p-120 but want to install my P-70 as I need the other turbine for my Flash. take off distance still good? I am assuming removal of the nose weight might be necessary, mine has the giant lead block in the nose. wonderong if I can leave both tanks as well for really long flight times, 3.5L and still get it in the air.

Kevin, my jet weighs in at 30 lbs, 10oz. fully loaded with fuel and smoke juice... all that is pushed around with a P-80 (22 lbs thrust). I can comfortably take off with 75% power too.
Fuel: 2.5 L
Smoke: 1 L
I think your P-70 will have no sweat pushing it to rotation.
