One of the most common causes of a plane suddenly dropping off into a spin is too much elevator which causes that stall.This is a test I make with every new plane. Get high give full up and see what it does. If it snaps reduce elevator throw. It could also be the result of a bit tailheavy. Add this test to your maiden you may profit from it.
