hey tooth man, if you are still looking for info,, Im new to the gassers also. I love the clean flying. I started with a weedwhacker engine but realized they are a bit heavy and not as much power as the same size comercial type gasser. I then bought a SV-17 from troy built models, initially very disappointing. It never ran well and barely flew my 60 size p-47. I sent it back to the company and, to their credit, they worked on it and got it back to me with some modifications. I just got it today so dont know if it has improved (did cost me $30 in two-way shipping) my next engine was a DLE 30...what a difference- runs great, not a lick oftrouble. pulls my seagull extra 260- 180 great. I have learned that off-brand, "cheaper" ,enginesare not worth the trouble. the DLE enginesseem to be a greatvalue,they arein the midpricerange and mine, as well as my friends',ran greatout of the box. they are commingout witha 20cc engine soon. or so I hear.hope thishelps.
