i have to agree with anthoop, temp guns can vary from brand to brand along with their readings
as long as you have a consistant lite trail of smoke from low rpm to high rpm you should be fine.
however if you are still worried about things ,maybe switch to a colder plug, although i'm not sure it would make a giant difference.
