You said the turret rotation and elevation work correctly? Now whatever stick you are using for those controls is the one which will also control MG fire and the main gun. If all els fails there is one thing you can attempt which is quick and easy. Do the setup procedure again, only this time when you do it, only move the sticks about half travel in each direction. This cured my issue with the Pershing not going into gear correctly and it also stopped me from having to move trim tabs for any functions. Let us know if this helps.
