We seem to be an older crowd but we do attract the younger ones slower than us geezers.
I just rolled in from a race in Hobart, IN and a lot of the townfolk showed up to watch us race. I talked to people of all ages there from teens to quite a few that were born before me. Many were interested in getting into RC boating but no hobby shops nearby.
