Today ran my first ZDZ (40RE) on a agressor of Topmodel CZ
Everything went wel, but had the feeling that the engine was running a bit rough.
I changed the suggested timing of 7mm to 4-5mm. It seems that the engine is running a bit more smooth now and it did not effect the max rpm.
Is this a wise thing to do or will it cause other problems?
Fuel is Aspen premixed 1:50 added oil to 1:30
Pipe Krumscheid 1050, 7200 rpm on Menz 19*10

Hi, I have just bought the Razzia from Topmodel CZ that has the same fuselage of the Aggressor but a funfly wing.
I'm thinking to use a ZDZ 40 RE like you did in your model, can you give me some info about power.
Do you think the 40 RE is enogh power for the model, I believe my model should come out at no more than 6 kg, is the pull out from the hovering just ok or it is very good ??
I'm planning to use a KS 86-4 canister, that should help a little.
Can you give me some measure for the header ?? Looking to the engine on a side, I need the distance from the center of the exhaust port to the engine axe (shaft),
because I need to calculate the drop needed by the header.
Do you have a video of your model flying with the ZDZ 40 RE ??

Gianluca,
I replaced the ZDZ 40 for a Brison/Revolution52, because of the lack of power and the high vibrations.
Also the Revolution was not to my liking. Last year it has been replaced by a MVVS45.
This engine is really perfect for the model, power wise and vibration-wise. So do yourself a favour and buy the MVVS.
It is a side exhaust and you have to cut the hood, but that is the only disadvantage.
Regards,
Hans
