RE: mouting a aiptek camera
I just bought one of these myself with the idea of mounting it on a GWS Slow Stick like so many others here. You might be able to just rubber band it to the fuse of your plane with some foam between it and the fuse or double stick tape or velcro it to a lite ply board and rubberband THAT to the plane.
I need to check into that electronic switch idea that I have read about here someplace.

Dang! I just bought an Aiptek pen cam also and am looking for ideas on mounting. I have the same version you picture Adam. Saw you cool aerial pix Goliath and your mounting pix also. Is your electronic switch hard-wired into to camera? If so, how difficult was that? What type of switch did you use? I was going to use a servo pushing the button, but the switch could simplify things. Neeto Mosquito!

You can find the switch I used at: http://home.att.net/~mechconsultant3/Order.htm
I wired the switch in my self, but if I had it to do over I would buy the cam/switch combo already wired up for $120.00 The soldering points for the switch are tiny. It was a pain to solder and I destroyed the first cam I tried it on.

this is a reply to more than one person, just so u might hav to read the other relpies fir this to make sense.
i never thought of modifiying the camera its self, i hav a micro servo i stole out of a little 60$ plane with only rudder and throttle. i like the mounting style though with just rubber bands.

The servo works fine for most cameras, but the pen cam shuts itself off after 60 sec of inactivity. The electronic switch powers the camera through the USB bus and the receiver battery and by passes the auto shut down feature. If you install a memory stick in the pen cam you can fly without the battery in the pencam.
